The Winter Solstice

Today is the darkest & shortest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere & you wanna know why I'm REEL excited about this?!

Because today marks the END of DARKNESS & the beginning of new life & light!

Get I get an AMEN?!?

This is actually a very spiritually significant day! The Sun is shifting into Capricorn which means the past few months we have been exploring new things like the need of change, we saw what we wanted, visualised it & now we are approaching that big mountain we have to climb to get us to that happy place.

While this darkness has consumed us, we are now coming to the light. This is a great oppurtunity to acknowledge those dark days, the hard moments of this past year. Don't spend too much time dwelling what went wrong or could have been better. Don't beat yourself up over the "what if's" or "buts". All I am asking you to do is acknowledge them but move on.

Today, take the time to be grateful & welcome this new light into your life. Today, is your chance to move on.

This is going to be my first year doing a Winter Solstice meditation Candle Light Ceremony to release & renew! I would love for you to join me tonight at sunset. It's super simple, don't worry! You can do this alone or with friends & family. All you need are enough candles to make a circle with one large candle in the middle.

  • You begin by placing on a table, one large unlit candle & smaller unlit candles around it.
  • Turn off all the lights & spend a moment in darkness, remembering & honoring the Sun’s light.
  • Then who is leading or if alone, can light the main big candle & offer a blessing:

I am grateful for that which I have.
I am not sorrowful for that which I do not.
I have more than others, less than some,
but regardless, I am blessed with what is mine.

I am not sorrowful for that which I do not.
I have more than others, less than some,
but regardless, I am blessed with what is mine.

First, I am thankful for my health.
Second, I am thankful for my family.
Third, I am thankful for my warm home.
Fourth, I am thankful for the abundance in my life.

Continue counting off your blessings, until you have thought about all of the things that enrich your life & the lives of those around you.

  • After that each person, or alone, can come & light their candle from the main flame & all candles can be placed in a circle or spiral around the main one to symbolize your unity in the next year.
  • Once all candles are lit you can say another blessing, meditate, journal or sit in silence. This is another great prayer that I plan on saying at this time:

The longest night has come once more,
the sun has set, and darkness fallen.
The trees are bare, the earth asleep,
and the skies are cold and black.

Yet tonight we rejoice, in this longest night,
embracing the darkness that enfolds us.
We welcome the night and all that it holds,
as the light of the stars shines down.

I am safe. I am open & ready for new opportunities.

Stay here as long as needed & when ready simply bring your hands to your heart center, close your eyes, take one deep breath in through your nose & on the exhale say out loud “Happy Solstice!" with a huge smile on your face, slowly open your eyes.

Once you are done with this, take a few minutes to reflect on what you feel, what you saw & anything else that may have come up. You might want to journal it. You might want to take some time to visualize what 2017 can look like for you. Take your time here. This is a special moment so don't rush.

I would love to hear how this went for you so comment below with how you did! Did you get anything out if? Realize anything new? I wanna know!

Solstice blessings my loves!!

peace, love & a happy EndoMonster,
